Fix-A-Flat and Basic Maintenance Clinic 

1st Monday of each month, 7pm
This class covers:
• How to change a flat
• Cleaning and lubricating your chain
• Cleaning your bike
• Tips to keep from getting flats
• Items you need to change a flat when you are away from home

It’s basic, but by the end you should be able to change a flat!

Q: Do I need to sign up?
A: Nope just show up by 7 because it starts on time.

Q: Is there a fee?
A: Only $5 or $5 in purchases (the cost of a pair of tire levers 😉 )

Q: What should I bring?
A: 1. Yourself 2. If you want to practicing changing a (fake) flat on YOUR bike then
bring it! Otherwise you can practice on one of ours.

Q: How long does it last?
A: A little over an hour.

Q: What do I need to know beforehand?
A: No previous mechanical skill required.

We decided to do this women’s bike maintenance class because changing a flat is not only a useful skill to have but it’s also a safety issue. If you can change a flat yourself, you don’t have to be stuck away from home, or rely on the kindness of stranger to help you out. Being self-sufficient rocks!
